Research presented to clinicians from across Europe reveals that nearly half the UK cancer nurses questioned had not received any training to help protect them against the potential dangers of delivering systemic anti cancer therapies (SACT) to patients.
The poster presented at the European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS) meeting in Munich last October (2018) features the results of an anonymous questionnaire carried out online by Alison Simons and Samantha Toland, Senior Lecturers at Birmingham City University and it follows up their work about the lack of health and safety awareness around SACT.
