SACT SAFETY CAMPAIGN

EVERY DAY. EVERY TIME. EVERY TREATMENT.

WELCOME TO THE SACT SAFETY CAMPAIGN

Our aim is simple. We want to see clinicians throughout the UK properly protected from harm when they administer cytotoxic systemic anti cancer therapy (SACT) through the use of closed system drug transfer devices (CSDTDs)

Every day. Every time. Every treatment

What is a closed system drug transfer device?

CSDTD is defined as a drug transfer device that mechanically prohibits the transfer of environmental contaminants into the system and the escape of hazardous drug or vapour concentrations outside the system (NIOSH 2004).
